Madagascar: TC Giovanna crosses Madagascar coast.

TC Giovanna crossed the east coast of Madagascar overnight with peak gusts estimated in excess of 200kmh with very heavy rain.

The inland capital Antananarivo will be spared the worst effects of the cyclone as it is expected to pass south of the city as a cat 1 Cyclone.

The system will weaken below cyclone strength by the time it moves into the Mozambique Channel …
