Winds Gust to 86 MPH in Plains!

Winds were estimated or measured at or above 70 mph in Kansas, Wyoming, and South Dakota yesterday and overnight. The highest report was 86 mph at Belvidere, SD, but even in Grinnel, KS, it gusted to 77 mph! Tree damage was reported in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Denver, Colorado.
Other wind gusts as reported from instruments in Wyoming (via MesoWest) were:
84 mph at Fales Rock
83 mph at Esterbrook and Camp Creek
81 mph at WY1 and CLCL1
