Tropical Cyclone Activity Report – AM – Pacific / Indian Oceans – 28 Feb 2012

There are no active tropical cyclones in the Pacific or Indian Oceans…or adjacent seas

PDC Global Hazard Atlas displaying 3 hour precipitation accumulation and the area outlined in red, which according to the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) has a likely chance of developing into a tropical cyclone during the next 24 hours

FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC…EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE:

THE NEXT REGULAR TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK WILL BE ISSUED ON MAY 15 2012. SPECIAL TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOKS WILL BE ISSUED AS NEEDED IF A SIGNIFICANT WEATHER SYSTEM FORMS DURING THE OFF-SEASON.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
FOR THE CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC…BETWEEN 140W AND 180:

The central north Pacific hurricane season officially ended on November 30.  The NWSFO in Honolulu will resume issuing outlooks starting again on June 1 of 2012.
