Possible tornado hits central Ontario: witness

(CBC) – Severe weather including a possible tornado hit near Minden Hills, Ont., Wednesday afternoon, a local politician said.
Deputy Reeve Cheryl Murdoch said something “like a tornado” touched down at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET, with authorities saying the trailer park Hunter Creek Estates near Highway 35 sustained the most damage.
A local fire chief said there are reports of one man injured so far with a broken leg.
Minden Hills is about 200 km northeast of Toronto.
The report of the twister came as humidex ratings for southern Ontario were expected to reach as high as 42 C for Windsor and 43 C for Ottawa.
Environment Canada is investigating the possibility of a tornado. The agency was already checking for signs of a tornado in Hamilton overnight, as well as in Kincardine and Walkerton.
