Thor, The God of Thunder, Does Movie Effects

Have you seen Thor yet? I haven’t, but the movie is generating a lot of buzz because of its CGI weather effects. We even made Thor (South Carolina) our “Worst Weather” location last week:

The weather effects aren’t limited to lightning (check them out 1:25 and 2:10 in the trailer below). Even though I’m not a comic book fan, this might be enough to make me watch.

Two dozen AccuWeather.com Facebook Fans were also thrilled with the effects. Tracy H.L. said: “I…LOVED IT!!! Lots of lightning, lots of rain, not enough Chris Hemsworth shirtless!! LOL ;p” (hereby making this my only blog entry that will be searchable with the word “shirtless”). Jackie B. added: “Yes, great cloud formations, big fight in the rain.”
